Welcome to www.lompnaz.comThe internet site for the commune of Lompnaz, France. Région : Rhône-Alpes ; Département : Ain (01) Population : approx. 150 Between Lyon and Geneva, "The Bugey" welcomes you.
Lompnaz is a typical Bugey village, with old stone-built houses. At 625m (just over 2000 fete) in altitude, the mountain air is always healthy. Our climate is hot in summer, with temperatures reaching 35°, and cold in winter, the thermometer descending as far as -15°. Despite these often negative temperatures, Lompnaz profits from an exceptional degree of sunshine.
You may explore Lompnaz and the surrounding areas on foot, by bicycle or on horseback (on the roads, or on the many tracks and paths which cross the countryside). The leisure village of Vallée Bleu, on the river Rhône, is a few km away, as is the water park Walibi. In winter, you can ski locally (cross-country skiing 5 km from the village, downhill skiing is 30km away). During the snow season, you can walk the local countryside on snowshoes (raquettes). An
